Saginaires Alumni Association Newsletter -- 9 April 1999 Volume 2, Number 1 It's almost that time again: Drumcorps Season. And that can only mean one thing -- it's time to begin planning the second annual Saginaires Alumni Association Reunion Picnic. (OK, maybe that wasn't the one thing you were thinking of...) Since last year's picnic was somewhat less than a rousing success, our next alumni meeting will be mainly devoted to organization and planning for this year's reunion. As the DCI Midwestern show will not be held in Ypsilanti this year, we will need to come to a consensus as to the best location for the picnic (Toledo, Port Huron, etc.). The SAA had only two meetings during the off-season: August 30 and October 25. Now that we're getting geared up for the "fun part," this would be the perfect time to get involved! Our next meeting time and place has not yet been determined; however, for those who cannot attend, there will be an online chat either preceding or following the meeting, so that others may voice their opinions. The SAA has its own (free) HTML-based chat room, soon to be linked from the alumni pages. Check the Northern Aurora site at http://members.tripod.com/~mcook/NA for the latest info. -- This doesn't mean you shouldn't attend the meeting, though! Old friends, good food, videos, and corps stories are sure to be involved. Reply to this address with your preferences for a meeting date (weekend), time, and location. If you would like the SAA to reach you via US Mail on occasion, or if you would like your fellow alumni to know where you've relocated since corps, reply to this message with your mailing address and phone number. Your complete mailing address and phone number will not appear on the web page -- only the city and state. The full information is purely for the use of the SAA. Also, if you would care to post some relevant information about yourself -- where you're employed, other corps you've marched, family life, etc. -- feel free to reply to this message with the pertinent information.
